                       "Things which matter most
Must never be at the mercy of things which matter least."

A Mountain of Cash is about raising as much in charitable donations as possible.

The cost of the expeditions is being covered by either generous corporate sponsors or me personally. So, every single penny, cent, or yen donated by you will go directly to charity. Every penny!

If  this event inspires you to give a donation  please do so. As soon and as much as you feel you can.

The target is to raise £20,000 in donations.

That’s just £100 from 200 people right! Just £1 for each day I’ll be out on expedition. Have you seen those living conditions!

Of course every penny makes a difference, so please just give what you can.

25 Nov - So far the total is around £1,500 and this is from a few sponsors.

12 Jan 06 - Total now up to £2,300.... slowly but surely!

3 Mar 06 - Hitting £7,770 - so about a third of the way to the target.

27 Mar 06 - Over the half way mark - more than £10,000 raised.

1 Apr 06 - Last day in the UK and total now exceeds £11,250.

1 June 06 - Total now stands at over £15,000 across both charities. A very big thank you to all who have donated and supported.

8 June 06 - Fantastic news, over £20,000. The target has been reached through some large and generous donations on my return! Let's see how far the total will go.......

I’m working with two specific charities. Please support whichever appeals most – or both! You’ll find a link to each charity below. Follow the link to donate and gift aid (an uplift from Chancellor Gordon Brown) will be automatically reclaimed. If you prefer I also have good old-fashioned forms. If you’d rather give to another charity of your choice, that’s fine too, just let me know your donation so I can add it to the total raised so far.

Macmillan Cancer Relief is a UK charity that works to improve the quality of life for people living with cancer.

Unfortunately cancer seems to touch every family, and last year my partner Isabelle’s father died from cancer.
